Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. As well as raising much
needed funds for cancer research, prevention, and education, the Relay also serves as:
- a memorial for loved ones who have been lost
- a means to raise cancer awareness in the community

The American Cancer Society has teamed up with Kintera.org to make online
fundraising available again this year. This is a great resource and an easy way to
collect donations. You can sign up for a team page and send e-mails to your friends
and family, who can support you with credit card donations through this secure
website. You can also donate, order Luminarias, or register as a participant online.

2008 Relay For Life set for June 7th & 8th
|
|
This year's North Branford Relay For Life will take place on Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8, once again at North
Branford High School.
North Branford celebrates is fifth year of Relay in 2008, and in keeping with that milestone the theme for this year's
Relay is "THE POWER OF FIVE". This also symbolises the significance of the 5 year survival benchmark, which is a
key milestone for every cancer survivor.
Team Captain and Committee meetings are beginning. Please come along to these meetings if you would like to get
involves as a committee member, volunteer, participant, or team captain. You will be ale to pick up information packs,

Fundraisers have already begun, click here to see what's going on. This years goal is $150,000....please support
these teams and help the Relay reach its goal!!

Online Registration and Fundraising

You can register your team or as a participant by visiting the ACS Online Registration and Fundraising site for North
Branford
Here you can set up a page for your team, recruit members, accept online donations and track your team's fundraising
efforts 9as well as checking in on how the other teams are doing!). There are great tools to send out emails to friends
and family, communicate with team members, and get useful Relay info.
Luminarias can also be purchased through this site.

2007 NB Relay raises over $117,000 !!

Thanks to everyone who made 2007 another great success. For the third year in a row, North Branford (New Haven
County) was recognized by the ACS as a Top 10 per-capita fundraiser!
....In 4 years of Relay, North Branford has now passed HALF A MILLION DOLLARS raised!!
