Despite a torrential downpour that lasted right through Relay weekend, North Branford set yet another record in raising over $160,000!!! The rain forced the
cancellation of the Luminaria Ceremony that as scheduled for Saturday evening. It was held two weeks later on June 17th. Regardless of the separation from
Relay weekend, the Luminaria ceremony lost none of it's power or impact and was once again a symbol of hope and a fitting tribute to all those afflicted by
cancer.
- more than 1000 people registered as participants
- over 100 cancer survivors were present
- 1808 Luminarias lined the track after nightfall.
The theme was - Times Of The Past: Making Cancer History
In three years of Relay For Life, North Branford has raised more than $420,000 for the fight against cancer!!!
